All first and second year medical students are invited to apply.
Are there registrations fees?
Yes, but the program will pay the registration fees.
If I am selected, how long do I have to confirm my acceptance?
Students will have three days to notify the Program Administrator of their acceptance.
How do I complete an application and what materials do I need?
You may complete your application online at the CUPID Website.
Note: applications will not be accepted by mail. Deadline is February 1, 2009, no exceptions.

Housing is provided on the JH Homewood campus. We are unfortunately unable to provide housing for students wishing to live with their partner/spouse during the fellowship. We will help as much as we can but these students will have to find other accommodations.
Can I select my mentor?
No. Assignments are made by the Program Director after review of the student's application materials. Students are not permitted to contact mentors during the application process.
I prefer a clinical mentor. Is this possible?
As noted above, assignments are made by the Program Director after review of the student's application materials. All students will be assigned a (clinical or research) laboratory, and will complete a half-day clinical rotation in each of the following areas: medical, radiation, and surgical oncology.
How is the stipend paid?
The students are paid a stipend of $5,000 over the 8-week period. Typically, the amount is split over 3 - 4 pay periods. Taxes are not paid from the stipend checks.
